About
Mathdle is a daily math puzzle. Each day there is one puzzle, the same for everyone, available for twenty-four hours.
The puzzle is shaped like NYT's Spelling Bee, but with numbers and operators instead of letters. Use the seven tiles — at most once per expression, always including the center — to build expressions that equal the day's target. Find as many as you can. Each one earns points; the more tiles you use, the more it's worth. Expressions using every tile are pangrams.
What counts as a new expression is decided by structure, not just value. Order doesn't matter inside + or ×chains; parenthesization within an operator chain doesn't matter. But distributing differently does count as a separate construction.
Built for people who enjoy math. No accounts, no logins — today's puzzle is always free. Modest ads run on the archive and info pages to keep the lights on; the daily puzzle itself is left clean. See Privacy for the small print.
