How to play
You have seven number tiles. One is highlighted in yellow — that's the center. Every expression you submit must use it.
Tap (or click) tiles, then operators, to build an expression. Submit when it equals today's target. Try to use more tiles — longer expressions are worth more points.
Rules
- Center tile is mandatory in every expression.
- Each tile can be used at most once per expression.
- Two expressions count as different only if their construction is different.
3 + 5and5 + 3are the same. Distributing (e.g.2 × (3 + 4)vs2 × 3 + 2 × 4) is different. - Adding zero (
+ 0) or multiplying by one (× 1) is not counted as meaningful — those expressions are rejected. - Pangram: uses all seven tiles. Worth a +7 bonus.
Ranks
As you find expressions, your rank rises through eight tiers: Start → Warming Up → Good → Solid → Nice → Amazing → Genius → Euler. Reach Euler by finding every catalogued expression.
Difficulty
Each day ships with four versions — Easy · Medium · Hard · Impossible. Pick from the tabs at the top of the puzzle. Progress is tracked separately per difficulty.
Impossible mode
Impossible unlocks four extra operators on top of + − × ÷:
- mod — integer remainder, e.g.
17 mod 5 = 2. - √ — square root, perfect squares only.
√49 = 7;√7is rejected. - ^ — integer exponent, capped at magnitude 4 to keep numbers sane.
3^4 = 81. - ! — factorial, non-negative integers up to 8.
5! = 120.
Identities still don't count. x^1, x^0, 1^x, x mod 1, √1, and 0!/1!/2! are all rejected as trivial.
Keyboard shortcuts: % for mod, ^ for exponent, ! for factorial. Tap √ from the operator row.
Cadence
The puzzle resets every day at midnight UTC.
Streaks
Your current streakcounts consecutive days you've completed at least one puzzle. To keep things friendly, you get a one-day streak freeze: miss a single day and your streak still survives, automatically. Miss two days in a row and it resets. A fresh freeze is granted every seven clean days (up to two banked at a time).
